Responsibilities
- As a Project Advisor, you'll play a central role in supporting social initiatives on Aruba.
- You assess project proposals and advise CEDE ARUBA’s director and board on funding decisions.
- You are the main point of contact for applicants and guide them throughout the entire project cycle from preparation and execution to evaluation.
- You maintain relationships with our international funding partners and support the advisory process within these collaborations.
- You also monitor ongoing projects, both in content and finance, and offer coaching and support to NGOs, often in cooperation with external professionals.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s-level education or equivalent (HBO work/thinking level)
- Experience with project-based work and financial administrative processes
- A strong network in Aruba’s social sector
- Understanding of social development issues and NGO operations
- Familiarity with target groups and organizational challenges in the social sector
- A proactive and client-focused attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills for advising, listening, understanding, and clearly communicating with applicants
- Active in staying informed on sector trends and understanding their impact on your work and the organization
- Excellent verbal and written skills in Papiamento, Dutch, and English (Spanish is a plus)
