Project Advisor (32 hours per week) (m/f)

Responsibilities

  • As a Project Advisor, you'll play a central role in supporting social initiatives on Aruba.
  • You assess project proposals and advise CEDE ARUBA’s director and board on funding decisions.
  • You are the main point of contact for applicants and guide them throughout the entire project cycle from preparation and execution to evaluation.
  • You maintain relationships with our international funding partners and support the advisory process within these collaborations.
  • You also monitor ongoing projects, both in content and finance, and offer coaching and support to NGOs, often in cooperation with external professionals.

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s-level education or equivalent (HBO work/thinking level)
  • Experience with project-based work and financial administrative processes
  • A strong network in Aruba’s social sector
  • Understanding of social development issues and NGO operations
  • Familiarity with target groups and organizational challenges in the social sector
  • A proactive and client-focused attitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills for advising, listening, understanding, and clearly communicating with applicants
  • Active in staying informed on sector trends and understanding their impact on your work and the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in Papiamento, Dutch, and English (Spanish is a plus)
