Government of

Aruba

Since 2000, the Government of Aruba partners with CEDE ARUBA, extending support for community projects and our organizational costs, enabling us to collaborate with more funding partners.

The Government of Aruba (GoA) annually provides financial resources to CEDE ARUBA. This funding is intended to support projects and administrative costs. Since 2017, this support is formalized  on the basis of a 5-year  cooperation protocol between GoA, CEDE ARUBA and the Samenwerkende Fondsen Cariben (SFC), signed on July 4, 2018. In this protocol, the parties agreed to commit with funding, while CEDE Aruba agreed to raise more third-party funding.  CEDE Aruba to this day has expanded its funding with partners such as Ministry of Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK), European Union, private companies, and tourist visitors. Based on the success of previous period, a protocol for 2022-2026 has been signed with the same parties.

During 2022, the above-mentioned protocol between GoA, CEDE ARUBA and SFC has been extended to give additional support to the Centro di Bario’s and other neighborhood organizations in Aruba. Therefore, CEDE ARUBA has developed the BARIO UNICO program.
